I very much enjoyed the insight that Tom provided in his commentary as well as Jeff Peterson’s comment. There is no doubt that hard work is the foundation for meaningful reform but I am skeptical that we as a nation are lead by problem solving non partisan leaders. For example, expunging the impeachment of a President will not change history books nor actually solve any national problem. In Minnesota reform of the mental health and criminal justice system has historically been stymied by partisan gridlock. Having said that giving up hope is not an option.
True reform requires non-partisan leadership and hard work. Thank you for promoting a blueprint for both.
