Nice summary Tom. I am not on Twitter, but many of the people banned recently appear to be only conservatives. Elon,s actions could help open up the platform. I miss hearing CNN rant and rave over Trump's posts.
Thanks, Rick. I don’t follow the banned list, so can’t tell you who is on or off. Seems to me the bigger problem with Twitter, Facebook and others is that the algorithms reinforce users’ opinions by feeding posts and information in ways that validate what people already believe. Even the most absurd positions seem mainstream when that is all you see.
Spot on. I’m very concerned about the lack of local reporting at school board, city council, county board meetings. Solid journalism keeps a democracy transparent. We need more professional ethically grounded journalists and less narcissistic soap boxing.
