Excellent article. The Republican Party needs to be at every table in both chambers & participate. Not just act like potted plants. Same goes for Washington DC. It just seems like the GOP goes along to get along. Time for TERM LIMITS. Rick
It's frustrating to see how politicians turn to funding programs that only provide another bandaid or are just focused on cultural issues that make our social climate harder to forge cooperation.
The GOP party refused to stop shielding the mega rich and the Democrats cannot get them to the table to address correct problems. The GOP in particular is wedded to flat out lies in the hope that get reelected. Even business cannot thrive in such an environment. Democrats have tried to address these problems but without the GOP involved they Cannot get reform without an economic bribe or majorities in the legislature.
I sometimes feel like the GOP in particular is willing to see the whole country explode in violence and chaos before joining Democrats in building any substantial progress.
